USAVRCN will annually select one recipient of its Advanced Vaccines Fellowship award.
The USAVRCN seeks to foster working collaboration between laboratories that seek novel approaches to advancing vaccine technologies. The AVF Award provides the recipient with supplemental funds to assist them in research that brings novel concepts to their doctoral research. The USAVRCN strives for creative solutions to vaccine problems, and the AVF award seeks to support those cross-pollinating between disciplines in meaningful and novel ways.
AVF Award recipients will be selected through a competitive process, first as ranked by the USAVRCN Board, then through a silent polling process by the USAVRCN Membership at large. Ranking will be toward candidates conducting the most cross-cutting and technologically compelling vaccinology research.
The current deadline for AVF program application is Open.
Award Program Goals:
- Provide financial support to students and fellows taking risks toward technological advances in vaccinology.
- Stimulate networking and collaborative research within the USAVRCN and across to the scientific community at large.
- Support placement of postdoctoral candidates in laboratories focusing on aspects of vaccinology disparate from their doctoral work.
